James 1:27 Religion that God accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after Orphans and Widows in their distress...
No one in our family is perfect... In fact we are far from it. We could list hundreds of ways we are not fit for anything good. We have our good points as most everyone does, but its just not enough. Its not enough to keep from hurting each other, or doing everything we know we should do. But what our family is committed to, even in our shortcomings is to take what little we are and offer it into the hands of our UNBELIEVABLE God that HE may take our imperfections and use them perfectly. As we have sought to be like Christ He has opened our eyes and ears to see and hear others who are calling, crying, begging to be seen. To be loved. To not be forgotten or left behind. But it is not a road without COST. When reaching out to save, often you must go into the deep waters and in doing so put yourself at risk of loosing the very things God has given you such as but not limited to hobbies, the perfect career, loved ones and a lifestyle. The drowning don't mean to suffocate their savior- They just want to LIVE! When they push you under, grab at your arms that you're using to swim them to dry ground, or hold onto you so tight that you are restricted from the very movement you need to get you both back to safety- they don't realize another way except survival. If this is the call God has on your life- specifically to adopt, or if you recognize that James 1 :27 is a call to every believer to somehow or someway be involved in the caring for the needs of the widows and the orphaned, We KNOW THE COST. We KNOW THE LOSS... So we stand with you and pray for you, and hope that anything we share or offer of our journey will inspire and encourage you to continue onward even as you struggle, to reach dry ground with the souls God has sent you into the deep waters to save... e.w.
If you or someone you know has heard the call to adopt or is searching for how to help the orphaned or widowed please contact us. - We help families through the process for no charge, and are always available to listen and encourage as well.
We also provide post-adoption support. Taking in a child that has experienced a traumatic loss, can sometimes mean you embark on a roller coaster ride. Don't suffer alone. We are here to lock arms with you and carry the burden.
For churches that would like to host an Adoption Information Session for the church members and community, please contact us. Use the CONTACT tab at the top of this page to reach us.
Check out our blog as we have included stories and informative messages on adoption, and the healing process for children who have lost their family of origin. One of the most important things when considering adoption, is to educate yourself ahead of time. Everyone should do this, but it is absolutely critical to take the time to educate yourself when you have children already in the home. Not every child is meant for every family. And not every family is meant for every child.

Parenting wounded children
We seek education, we learn new skills, we do our very best – and we make many mistakes in the process. Yet, we do not determine whether our children are healed or not – or how quickly that healing comes. We are vessels through whom God works his will and his healing power in the lives of our children.- unknown

An Orphan’s Prayer
I am waiting...somewhere far...far...away on the other side of the world. I may not know who you are or what you look like, but some how deep in my heart I know you are out there. That one day you will come and find me. It's a long journey, and it takes a lot of time... I wish it could be easier. But I know that the ones who come for me will not count the cost. They will only see the joy of finding me. For now I abide in the fields of the fatherless. Day by day wondering why I was born here and not somewhere else? Asking....why my life couldn't have been different. It is so lonely...Even though I am surrounded by hundreds of other children, I know something is missing... I know in my heart I need a place to call home. My arms long to be wrapped in a father's embrace..I long to be saved by a mother's love...
Gazing out the orphanage window I offer a prayer of hope,"Oh, God, please help them come quickly." Even as I lay there in the darkness each night somehow I feel assured, that no matter how lost I appear I am not alone...
Holy hands guard my steps, sacred fingers wipe my tears, touching my lonely heart. The one who made me, the God that knew me before I was born, hears me every time I call. He whispers his promises in my ear. I listen with hope to His voice.
But what I worry about most is that no one wants to look for me. The fields are vast and there are so many scattered all over the earth. I wonder how one little child, so lost can be found? Yet he calms my heart and assures me,that He will find you. That he will make sure that you hear His voice clearly. He has promised me that He will make a way through the fields. That he will personally cut a path, and lead you right to my orphanage door.
My prayer is... When he speaks... Please don't forget to listen... When he calls don't be too afraid to go. For I am waiting somewhere, far,...far...away, on the other side of the world... TO COME HOME.
